Hi everyone, we have put together a small clip to share our fabric cutting process before sewing.
There are 2 main steps to the fabric cutting process.
- Laying the fabric
- Cutting the fabric
This method of cutting produces a uniform shape in all layers of the fabric. This will ensure that each piece of clothing sewn will be a consistent dimension and measurement. Furthermore, this method increases the productivity of the manufacturing process because multiple pieces can be cut at the same time as opposed to cutting the fabric individually.
This cutting machine requires a high level of skill and precision from the technician. A slight wrong movement may cause the layers of fabric to be askewed, resulting in irregular shapes in the cut pieces. This will in turn affect the sewing of the finished clothing.
